Chef Dez's Greek Burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef

  • 1 large egg

  • 7 garlic cloves, crushed

  • 3 tbsp finely chopped fresh oregano

  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh rosemary

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/3 cup feta cheese, crumbled

Method

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl and divide into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a patty.

  2. Grill on a preheated barbecue, medium flame, until cooked through. On the stovetop, use a preheated pan over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes per side.

    TIP: An instant read thermometer takes away the guesswork—the internal temperature of the burgers should be 160oF.
     

  3. Serve with tzatziki sauce, lettuce, and tomato on your favourite burger buns.
